But, what is this award about and what makes it a big deal?

For starters, the Consumers’ Choice Award is an annual program that honors businesses in the United States and Canada that provide consumers reliable and satisfactory service.  It is an award for excellence, and winners are chosen by no less than the consumers themselves.

Each year, the Consumers’ Choice Institute, which is the body behind the award, commissions a research group to conduct a survey among consumers in major North American cities.  Consumers will have to identify top establishments from approximately 100 categories of industries.
