Statewide Remodeling donates to Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

We are proud to announce that Statewide Remodeling, through our Austin office, has recently donated $6000 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.   The fund is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces families, and supports the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation and for severely wounded military personnel veterans.  These contributions were made in the name of the customers of Statewide Remodeling of Austin that purchased from us during the period July 4 through September 6, 2010, and it is one of the many ways we feel an obligation to give back to our community, and an honor to support those troops that help protect the freedoms each of us have in this country.  I would like to thank all of our customers for being part of this experience, as we donated $100 of the profits from each job to the fund.

Statewide Remodeling wins awards for Windows, Siding, Sunrooms and Home Improvement Contractors

Statewide Remodeling Wins Awards for
Windows, Siding, Sunrooms and Home Improvement Contractors

It is with great pride that I announce that Statewide Remodeling has received the Consumers’ Choice Awards in four separate home improvement categories for 2010. This is the fifth consecutive year we have received this award, and we are the first company in the history of the awards to receive recognition in four separate categories.

The Consumers’ Choice Award is a polling done by an international survey company of a sampling of all of the homeowners in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. This is a comprehensive survey covering everything from customer service, trust in the company, value of product, business excellence and customer satisfaction. I am proud of our whole team at Statewide Remodeling for earning this award for us, and thank the homeowner’s of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for their support and recognition of our efforts for the fifth consecutive year. We have been committed for the last 16 years of servicing the customers in our market to quality products, with excellent service and fair pricing at a great value. An award like this helps validate these goals and our focus on being the best home improvement company in the marketplace.

Earning this award in all of the product lines we sell, including windows, siding, sunrooms and patio products, and home improvements for our kitchen and bath divisions is something we cherish. We have also started an Energy Division this year to address the ongoing issues of high utility bills and helping conserve our environment. Our insulated attic Radiant Barrier product known as EShield, with an R-11 rating, eco friendly insulation products and home weatherization program have been embraced by our customers as the cutting edge of energy savings. We look forward to continuing our goal of expanding our product line to address the energy issue in our country.

Again, thanks to all of the people in the Metroplex for supporting us in earning these awards.

Home Improvement Updates

Well it’s been awhile since I have posted anything here but there has been a lot going on at Statewide. We are working on our new 6000 square foot Showroom that we will be moving into in January. It will have several full size venues of all the products we offer. Kitchen Cabinet refacing is a new product line we are introducing this month. We had the manufacture come to our showroom & convert an old kitchen display & it looks great. This is a product that will completely update your kitchen at about 1/2 the price. This new refacing is all wood & wood veneer no plastic laminated product like some of the other guys use. Our exclusive eShield attic barrier is taking the radiant barrier market by storm. This is a true energy saver that will save homeowners money year around. Not just in the summer since it blocks heat in both directions. It is not a paint or just a foil barrier this is a multi layer product it has an R11 rating and qualifies for the $1,500 energy tax credit which by the way ends in December of this year. The paint on & foil products don’t qualify for the tax credit because they have no R value. This is the reason the paint on guys offer free blown fiberglass insulation with their paint because this is the only way the paint qualifies! As I say in my ads “Kick the bucket” Paint on radiant barrier only lasts 5 years…do the research & you will see . I added eSheild in my house last year and even with this Texas heat wave we have had this year my cooling bills are averaging 15-20% less than last summer. On another subject starting tomorrow I will be redoing one of my baths to a shower with our exclusive Luxury Bath liner product. This product has Microban which eliminates mold & mildew in your tub or shower. I will be posting video of the install on YouTube so look it up under bath tub liners. Talk to you again soon

Insulated Attic Radiant Barrier

Why you should consider eSheild multi layer Thermal Reflective Insulation for your home?

It will reduce your heating and cooling costs by 25%!

Mass insulation like fiberglass and cellulose only slows down heat transfer eSheild combines R-Value with a dual reflective shield that reflects 97% of the heat that it comes in contact with. One layer of eSheild 11000 is equal to over 15″ of additional Fiberglass insulation

Unlike spray on or foil radiant barrier eSheild reflects heat in both directions so it keeps in your home during the winter and out in the summer. This is the single most energy efficient home improvement you can make

Check the Statewide Remodeling web site for more information and special pricing!

Solar Efforts and A New Program!

Well we are still working on implementation of our solar program. This is taking more time than I thought! There is a lot to do in preparation of installing solar hot water or solar voltaic in someone’s home. So if you are a homeowner looking for these types of energy savings products be sure TO CHECK OUT YOUR CONTRACTOR! They have to have passed certification tests to be able to install solar PV which is the kind of solar that produces Electricity to operate appliances in your home. This is due to the fact that they are connecting your system to the electric service grid. This can be dangerous if it is not done properly! If something happens after a faulty installation the home owner is responsible. So make sure your contractor is fully insured and Solar Certified!

In the News
You may have heard the long awaited Cash for Caulkers program has been passed and up to $3000 will be available to any homeowner who has a complete home energy audit done and their home weatherized. Statewide Remodeling can do this for you. We have Resnet certified HERS Raters on our staff. These folks have been trained and certified to do a full home energy audit. We can do a 20 point basic audit for no fee. Which is a normal $249. We can do the complete audit which includes the basic 20 point inspection blower door test, duct blaster test and a heat loss test. There is a fee for this one but with your complete home weatherization up to $3000 is covered by the Cash for Caulkers program. Don’t be misled by companies offering this service who are not certified! You will not get the rebate with their service.

Our government is getting excited about saving energy and that is good for homeowners.

Kicking off 2010 with a blast!

We have been extremely busy here at Statewide since the first of the year. The Solar photovoltaic manufacture I was working with turned out not to be what we thought they where. I am working with a new supplier on this product and plan to go to market with Solar by early summer. It’s pretty exciting! With Oncor & Federal rebates, a homeowner will be able to replace between 30 & 40% of their electric costs for around $14-15,000. This can give an ROI in the 8% range. I don’t know where you can get that kind of consistent return with your money in the bank? I know I can’t. I am in the process of getting one of these systems installed on my home. I’ll keep you updated on that. We are bracing ourselves for our first email blast with Costco for our eSheild product. Our manufacturer of this product, which I just had installed in my house, has made an arrangement to distribute this product through Costco.com. The email goes out next week to over 10,000,000 Costco customers!! I need to get back to work to continue to prepare for this.

Thanks,

End Of Year Savings!

Well the Holidays are upon us and the end of a strange year is near. I don’t think I have to bring up the fact that for many of us this has been a year like no other. One of the things we have done here at Statewide Remodeling to help local homeowners looking for improvements is to hold the line on pricing as well as diversify our product lines. We are now a full service remodeler vs. Sunrooms, Siding & Windows. We also do Kitchen & Bath Remodeling. We have a full line of walk in bathtubs. So if you have mobility issues you can regain your bathing freedom & forget the fear of falling in the tub. We also have a great acrylic tub reliner product that can renew your tub or shower for thousands less that a tear out. We have certified home energy auditors on staff. We can evaluate the energy efficiency of your home and for very little expense can show you how to reduce your heating & cooling costs as well as lower your overall utility bill. I had my home weatherized 2 years ago & with an all electric home my electric bill has gone down almost 20%. So from now until the end of the year I am offering a free $500 Statewide Remodeling gift card toward the purchase of any complete job with a contract date by 12-31-2009. Hope this helps you. Happy Holidays!

Things are happening at Statewide Remodeling

Well the trip to the remodelers show was very interesting. While I did not find a Solar Hot Water manufacturer as I had hoped for, I did meet some interesting people and learn some more about Solar. I have a manufacturer I am working with that offers a solar photovoltaic system which is the type that supplies electricity for the whole house. They have special pricing that allows customers who have an electric bill of $150.00 a month or higher to reduce their monthly electric expense by 10-15% including paying for the solar system! Sounds good to me.  I’ll keep you posted as the research continues. By the way our kitchen remodeling business is really starting to take off. A lot of exciting things are going on at Statewide!

We are still working on the solar for your home program. I am on my way to the Remodelers Show in Indianapolis. There are always some new & exciting products there. I will be looking at solar hot water systems. In case you don’t know Oncor has a new program called “Take a load off Texas” Solar Hot water for Texas Homeowners is on their list for rebates. Visit their web site @ www.takealoadofftexas.com for more details. I’ll have more info when I get back from the Remodelers Show.
