Forbes Magazine just ranked Houston the “coolest city in America.” With a growing young professional population, lots of art, a diverse culture, and an amazing restaurant scene – well, frankly, we’re not surprised at all. At Statewide Remodeling, we get to interact with a vast number of our fellow Houstonians. And, because of the diversity of culture, we’ve become especially good at tailoring our home remodeling projects for the tastes of our individual clients.
While there are plenty of newer housing developments in Pearland, Woodlands, Spring and other suburbs, many of the homes inside Houston are getting up in years. Our remodeling architects commonly create designs for bathroom and kitchen remodeling projects on Houston homes from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. We also replace a lot of older single pane windows that are 30-40 years old with new energy efficient vinyl windows. They’re really easy to clean and maintain, and they make older homes quieter, as well. We work with manufacturers and suppliers to provide homeowners with customer products and fixtures that they won’t see in every other remodeled home on the block.
Average temperature and humidity were obviously not factors Forbes used to name Houston the coolest city! But, we have a lot of ways to help homeowners make their homes cooler – literally. Besides new double-paned windows, our clients also experience great cooling and energy benefits from radiant barrier insulation in their attics. New fiberglass exterior entry doors provide better air insulation, as well as noise and security benefits. Even the vinyl plank siding we install offers increased insulation value for your home.
Of all the cool home additions we do, none beat our sun rooms. In June, July and August Texas is a great place to get cabin fever. Nobody wants to go out in 106 degree heat, but everybody misses the outdoors. So, we build awesome sunrooms for our customers so they can enjoy the outdoors – while enjoying the air conditioning. Our solariums especially allow you to bask in natural light while seeing the best of your backyard. We hear from clients who use their sunrooms for parties, breakfast rooms – they tend to become one of the favorite rooms in the house.
Statewide Remodeling operates in all of Texas’ largest cities, and we’ve come to realize that the remodeling business is unique to each area. Houston is not like Austin, we know. If you’re interested in hiring a remodeling contractor, give us a call and we’ll show you why we’re not just great remodelers – we’re great Houston remodelers.
